Remember when Metal was raw, aggressive, and pissed off? Remember getting goose bumps with anticipation when your favorite bands new album was coming out? Remember when you could LISTEN to an album from front to back? What happened? Where did all the Metal go? All we’re stuck with now are skinny jeans, generic breakdowns, and mindless soloing. Is this all we have to look forward to? What’s next? ...Will Metal ever be what it used to be? Well sometimes you have to look behind you to move forward.
Reborn in 2012 and returning to their roots founding member Bert Bigler (bass & vocals) with Ryan Hill (drums), Dominic Hines (guitars) and newbie John Seymour have converged to return Metal to its former glory. MI's music speaks for its self, tried and true straight forward American metal. No gimmicks, no frills, raw dog and bare back the way nature intended. Brutal intricate riff work over groove oriented blast beats lay the ground work for Dominic’s melodic lead lines and Bert's flem charged vocals. Uncommonly tight and precise, the live show is where MI shines, reaching every person in the crowd. 10 people or 100 people the energy at an MI show must be witnessed to understand. Never a dull moment Bert’s ability as a front man can touch and captivate everyone in the building. So if you haven't made it out to one yet, do yourself a favor and do so. Influences include bands such as Metallica, Testament, Slayer, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Gojira, Rush, and countless others. Malicious Intent uses and abuses Pearl drums, Sabian & Meinl cymbals, Peavey amps, Randall amps, ESP guitars, Schecter guitars, Ibanez guitars, Ernie Ball & D'Addario strings, Line 6, Grey Hill Home Brewed Beer, and Marlboro cigarettes.
